Senga Oral Bible Translation: A Spark That Birthed 12 Projects with 17 Offices

The journey of the Senga Oral Bible Translation (OBT) is a testament to the power of faith and commitment to God's Word. Through the support of Faith Comes By Hearing (FCBH), the Senga-speaking people experienced the Bible in their heart language, transforming lives and deepening their understanding of Scripture.

This remarkable success did not go unnoticed. The impact of the Senga OBT inspired the establishment of 14 new project sites and 3 additional offices, expanding the reach of Bible translation efforts to other language communities. What began as a single initiative has now multiplied, ensuring that more people encounter the Word of God in a language they understand best.

This story is not just about translation - it is about transformation. The voice of the Senga OBT has echoed beyond its own community, proving that when people hear God's Word in their own language, faith grows, and the mission of the Gospel advances.

After the launch of the OBT office in 2019, the Senga office completed the recording of the book of Luke in nine (9) months, which was the first in the history of Bible translation.
